Famine and Plague
During 1300 - 1485 many climatic and demographic changes occurred. Malnourishment weakened the population greatly. So The Black Plague was even more deadly.
The Plague arrived in 1347, in Europe. It killed off half the population in that one year.
At the beginning of the year the population was around 8 million. The year ended with 2 or 3 million left in population. The population stayed that way until 1485 when it began to grow back.
